NIPSA will implement CESAN's corporative GIS
­­Last February 25th CESAN made official the awarding of the contract for the implementation of a Corporative Gis. Edital EDITAL Nº 0­04/2009 "CONTRATAÇÃO DE EMPRESA ESPECIALIZADA PARA IMPLANTAÇÃO DE UM SISTEMA DE INFORMAÇÕES GEOGRÁFICAS CORPORATIVO NA CESAN" to the Consortium leaded by NIPSA. The bid amount was 9.337.194R$ (3, 7 Million Euros) with a completion deadline of 24 months. Leading international firms in Geographical Information Systems Solutions participated in the tender, and the winning Consortium obtained the maximum technical assessment (100% of points) in CESAN required specifications.

CESAN ­http://www.cesan.com.br­ (COMPANHIA ESPÍRITO SANTENSE DE SANEAMENTO) operates in 52 municipalities in the State of Espírito Santo (Brazil), with a population of more than 2.000.000 inhabitants, and has 6.500 Km of water supplying Networks; with 87 Water Purification Plants, and 1.400 Km of Waste water Networks, with 66 Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTPs).

 

­Corporative GIS, the project:­

EThe aim of the Project is the provision of a Corporative Geographical Information System, with data from a Centralized Base to let the updated maintenance of networks Cadastre, more quality in Customer Service actions (Call Center, etc), improvement of Management and Operation in supply and waste water systems, optimization of losses management (network mathematical modelling, etc. )

­

The solution proposed by the Consortium includes the use of ESRI technology as a base platform of the Corporative GIS (ArcEditor, ArcGis Server, etc.) as well as the integration with Operating Data Bases, currently implemented in Cesan. The development of GIS will be aimed to satisfying users needs in Cesan's different units, which includes the following ones:

El proyecto se estructura en las fases de Toma de Requerimientos, Análisis, Desarrollo, Tratamiento y Estructuración de Redes y Cartografía, Implantación, Formación, Soporte a Usuarios, Operación Asistida, Mantenimiento Correctivo y Evolutivo.
